Honesty Pays Off

I recently went to Babies R Us to purchase diapers for Milo. I had a balance on a gift card & decided to look around & found him some clothes. Hannah still had money left on pre-paid visa card from her birthday (thank you Mimaw!) & she picked out a lovely princess movie she wanted.

Between 2 kids that were melting down, & the confusion of paying (Hannah's gift card, the Babies R Us card & my credit card), I didn't really pay much attention to the grand total, I just listened to what amount was left for me to pay. A couple of days later I was finally got around to looking at my receipt & realized the total was much cheaper than I thought (I just assumed I'd had more on my gift card,) but come to find out I was not charged for the $40 box of diapers!!

All week I've been meaning to go down there & it just wasn't happening... but with the fact that I am leaving town for 3 weeks first thing in the morning, I decided to call the store. I'll admit that in the back of my mind I'd hoped that I wouldn't be charged for the diapers, so I was a little bummed when the employee told me that she would get the paperwork & do the sale over the phone. Despite the fact that I didn't score any free diapers, I did feel good knowing I did the right thing!

Don't you love doing the right thing? It gives you the warm fuzzies afterwards! Hey, I was going to ask you, where do you get that cute flannel fabric for your blankets? I'd like to make one for a friend of mine and Hobby Lobby's stock is stinky and I haven't made it anywhere else yet!
