I find myself saying things that include "...the economy..." on a daily basis, I know I'm not alone!
Times really are hard, every time I turn around I am hearing some personal account of how my friends & family are taking hits.
People are losing their jobs
Taking big pay cuts
Getting insulting raises, etc.
There are even those that are just having a hard time, not because of the economy:
Family with babies being diagnosed with diabetes
Family getting pathetic paychecks (by loser employers - who happen to be blood relatives.)
Friends with cancer
Friends being hit by drunk driver's
These lists could go on & on, but I'll save the long list for my evening prayers. The only good here is that it helps lend a little perspective to those of us who aren't suffering quite as much as some of our family, friends & neighbors. I just hope that those really feeling overwhelmed will have some form of relief soon.

amen. Well said. I have been watching Oprah lately and everything has been so hard to take. Everything has been about the economy and its such a scary thought. I sure hope things can get better for everyone as well.
