Daddy to the Rescue

I don't know how single parents survive the illness of a child!! Perhaps I'm a wimp, but having Hannah so sick & needy really pays a toll on me. I can't wait for Jeff to walk through the door & give me a break from playing nurse. And of course when he does walk through the door I am so thrilled & quickly hand Hannah over.

Last night he was kind enough to take the first shift with Hannah, & these "shifts" basically involve sleeping in her bed so you aren't having to run in there very time to cries. It's easier to be there with a large bowl in hand to avoid having to clean up any large mess & change the sheets. I know he doesn't sleep any better in her bed than I do, but I'm so grateful that he is so willing to help out so we both can get 1/2 a decent nights sleep.

Today Jeff called me and asked what I wanted for lunch, I was so thrilled that he was going to not only bring me lunch, but to sit & eat it with me. It's only Tuesday, but being stuck in the house for the last two days has me feeling very out of touch with the world. So a nice lunch of fried chicken with all the yummy sides we a nice bonus to some adult conversations.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Sorry for the sicky Hannah! I know how hard that can be! Thank goodness for your thoughtful husband! I have a pretty good one too! What have you been so busy with?
