Last night there was a hale storm & I heard Jeff get up to go make sure our cars were okay (they were). I remember waking up a bit later & noticing he was in the front room watching TV, but I was too delirious to think much of it.
This morning he informed me that our tornado sirens went off around 2:00 AM & the tornado was passing through the area. Me & the kids managed to sleep quite soundly through the whole thing. Jeff turned on the news & we saw that the Valendia subdivision was hit. It is about 5 miles north of us & just to the west of a number of our friends.
We drove up there to see the much talked about damage. I was bothered by the fact that I could sleep through it & I am thinking I need to get us a weather radio, to avoid a repeat of the last night.
