What's new with Hannah
Hannah is so 2 & full of life! She is so much fun, & always saying things that make us laugh. She is really into asking questions, & I know it will only get worse from here for a few years. Lately she is always asking, "What's it's name?" No matter if it's a person or an object, & a lot of the things she asks about she knows the names... she must be quizzing me! She is also asking "What's that?" about all kinds of things (also ones she already knows.)
Today was a good day for laughs from Hannah. She has been really into trying to pick out her own clothes & dress herself. She usually just grabs pants or a skirt from the drawer & allows me to give her some options of shirts from the closet (thank goodness she can't reach & hasn't found something to climb on to get there.) But this morning she had been in her closet going through the piles of clothes I need to put in the attic along with the clothes that are for this summer. She came running out holding a pajama shirt saying she wanted to wear it today. I informed her it was pajamas & we should pick something else. So she went & got the dress she wore to church yesterday, I told her it was dirty & we could find a different one in the closet. As I proceeded to give her some options she sort of sighed as she placed her hand on her hip shouting: "Mom, are you trying to make Hannah crazy?" I couldn't help but giggle & say no, then I went back to trying to find her something she would agree to wear. I was quickly cut off again with: "Mom, your making Hannah CRAZY!" I just laughed & laughed and gave up on the clothes for the moment. She thought she was pretty funny. She's heard me ask her a time or two if she is trying to make Mom crazy.
This afternoon after he nap we came into our room where she played with a laundry basket while I cleaned up. I then layed on the bed to watch her, just as she found her little plastic tube of pretend lipstick. She put some on her lips & looked at me smiling. I told her that I needed some, & she came over to apply some. I rubbed & smacked my lips as I told her that was perfect. She gave me a bit of an eye roll before stating: "It's just a toy, Mom!" Silly me!
