Is it Really July?

I can't believe it is July... not only because time has gone so quickly, but because of all this rain! It is so soggy & wet I feel as though I may be stinky & molding, & I fear how long it's going to take to dry out. We received over 10 inches at our house this last week... 10 inches! I don't know what else to say about the rain, other than the fact that if it continues we may have to buy a small boat to get around town.

Our vegetable garden is turning into a mushroom garden.

We have a large canal at the end of our street & all of this water is causing it to crack & buckle in a few different places. They have closed off the areas that are unsafe & have even closed part of the street. Who knows when they will be able to fix it, that would require it to stop raining.

When we walked down to take these pictures I was a bit distracted with the stinky mildew smell. If you'll notice the green moss growing, these gutters haven't been dry in weeks!

This weather just gets me excited for my trip to Salt Lake in a couple of weeks. I am looking forward to some extreme weather there, but completely opposite... it's hot & dry. I'm sure after a few days I may not like it so much, but we'll wait & see.

If it's hot and dry your looking for, by all means, come visit us! I can't remember the last time the high was below 109!
