Happy Birthday Bug

The Bug turned 2 on Thursday January 4th... where has the time gone? I really can't believe how much she has changed, she has gotten a little taller & only gained a couple of pounds. But she has lots more hair & she knows lots more words. She is such a busy busy busy busy girl, and keeps both of us hopping! She really seemed to catch onto the idea of birthdays being "Your Day" she loved when dad popped in her room first thing in the morning singing Happy Birthday, she giggled & giggled. Then she came to find me so I could sing another round of her new found favorite song. The day was filled with lots of phone calls, all for her (which she again loved.)

The Bug was thrilled to see her new white table & chair set that mom & dad had spent the evening before painting. She kept saying "Lunch Time, Sit Down" (she can be a bit bossy). In the morning dad headed off to work, while the Bug and I spent the rest of the morning playing & running to the grocery store. After her nap we went to the dollar theater to see the movie, Open Season, she really loved all the different animals & whenever I would laugh at anything she would look at me & belt out a fake laugh with the rest of the audience saying: "That's silly!"

When dad got home we went out to enjoy the finest dinner a 2 year old could hope for, a Wendy's Kids Meal. Then we sang one last round of Happy Birthday before she blew out the candles on her giant Rice Krispy Treat heart. We then put the birthday celebrations on hold until Saturday for her Dora the Explorer Birthday Fiesta!
