This weekend has been a long one & I'm having a hard time getting into weekday mode. We got a nice storm that came in Friday morning & was off and on for a few days. Mr. Tea's office closed early on Friday, so that added an extra 1/2 day to our weekend. He didn't have school yesterday, because of MLK Day and because of the weather he didn't go into work either. So that made for a long 3 1/2 day weekend.
There are lots of people that seemed to be bothered with being stuck at home, but I really enjoyed all the time at home, especially because I had someone to help out with The Bug. I was able to get so much done, I am beyond caught up on my laundry (we'll see how long that lasts) and I was able to clean & organize some closets on top of some cold weather baking. Church was cancelled because of the weather, so that really made for a long weekend at home. We did venture out on Sunday afternoon to have dinner at The Davis house. I was content to stay home, but glad I got out... if nothing more than to let the Bug play with other kids. The kids had a great time, & the adults seemed to enjoy themselves also.
We did go out yesterday to run some errands & get a few things from the grocery store. When we got home we did a little sledding across the yard & down the driveway. We have a really large cardboard box lid & Mr. Tea would hold it while running & would hop onto it on his stomach & sled. The Bug thought it was rather entertaining. So she and I sat in there & did a few runs ourselves with Mr. Tea pushing us. We didn't last too long, because of the cold. But it was good to get some fresh air & to hear her laugh in delight. All in all, I can say that despite the fact that all the heavy comfort food consumed, combined with my gym being closed all weekend has made me feel a little too insulated... It was an enjoyable weekend.

Sounds fun to me. We've been feeling cooped up since Charlotte hasn't quite been feeling herself, so today we met Trent for lunch. Yipee.
