My friend Kristen was telling me all about a friend of hers that was in a cooking group... it was similar to a dinner club, but partaking was just part of it! The cooking of a fabulous meal for other ladies who would love & appreciate it was the major part. We both were amazed at the idea & effort, then Kristen suggested we start one up. So we did just that!
Last night was our kick-off dinner & it was a great success! She & I put on a dinner for the other ladies. We had fun preparing & planning for the evening & had a great turn out. We were lucky enough to have Jennifer R. offer the use of her lovely home for the dinner. Everyone was excited to pick partners & months to take their turn to prepare a meal for the rest of us.
Here are some pictures of the evening. Recipes can be found
here.

Most of the Ladies who made it last night

The Table Setting

Virgin Mojitos

Chicken Tikkas with Cilantro Mint Chutney

Parmesan Edamame Crostini

Avocado Spinach Salad in Bacon Cups

Chilled Stawberry Soup

Grilled Mahi Mahi with Pineapple Relish on a bed of Coconut Couscous

Orange Mousse

We didn't take a picture of us when we were still fresh, so we took one at the end of the day.

Wow Megan! How come you don't cater and make a little $$$$$ while your at it?
Six dishes plus drinks! You're crazy awesome. I think a dinner club would be so fun!! My MIL2 has a dinner club combined with her bookclub and it just sounds overwhelming. Everybody's going to be intimidated to follow you and Kristen's presentation. You two look great by the way. I'll have to check into these recipes!

That looks so incredible and what a great idea!! Who's house was that, btw?
Ok I feel extremely inadequate. I can't even cook like that for my own family! What a great idea though!
