I am always looking for fun new recipes, whether they be for dinner, dessert, etc. But right now I am looking for recipes for Salad Dressings. I am not a fan of store bought dressings... have you read the ingredients? I got in this bad habit if reading labels & lists of ingredients on many of the products I buy & I was appalled. Sure I still eat some of those sodium-packed, chemicals that I should be preserved through the eternities, but my better self (do you have one of those better self alter ego? That's a story for another day.)I know there are lots of recipe books (I have a huge stash of those) websites, etc. Those are all good & fine, but right now I am seeking a recipe that has been tested by people I know & found to be DELICIOUS! This is where ya'll come in handy, share your yummy recipes... and if that dressing goes best with a certain salad, give me that info as well.

i just posted a super yummy salad dressing on my blog yesterday.... check it out.
please share if you find one you like.
I do the simplest and most healthy salad dressing that I ate every day in France...they don't have "fancy" dressings over there like we do. I just mince one shallot, and combine that with about a tablespoon of dijon mustard and some red wine vinegar...whisk in olive oil to taste. Then, just toss it in a huge spring mix herb salad, and voila...perfect every time. happy cooking!
I want all of the recipes that you get. My fav is the one I put on my apple salad (romaine/spinach, feta, fuji apple, sliced almonds, craisins, YUM). It's just the Italian dressing packet made as directed (I do it the low oil version) plus 1/8 cup sugar (okay not totally good for you but so yummy!
Megan this is by far my favorite salad dressing, along with salad. I wouldnt say its the healthest thing, but its SOOOO good. (its also good if you use low fat sour cream, never tried fat free though)
